Samuel Ejnes is a freelance sound designer / re-recording mixer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Beginning his career as a music engineer in his hometown of Glocester, RI, Sam mastered Pro Tools very early on in high school, producing several albums and EPs for Glocester-based bands such as Pen-Epic and Gathering Shadows.

During his time at Emerson College in Boston, MA, Sam worked in Mix “B”, Emerson’s mix-to-pix suite. While there, Sam learned the theory and practical applications for sound design and mixing.

By the end of his first year, he had worked on several films and received an EVVY Award nomination for Outstanding Sound Design for the film Mercy, directed by Kyle Morrison. Two more EVVY nominations would come the following years, including a win in 2009 for the film On a Dark and Chilly Night. In June 2009, Sam worked as the sound recordist on the set of the film Serial Buddies, directed by Keven Undergaro and produced by Maria Menounos.

Aside from his duties as sound designer and mixer for student and independent films, Sam does live sound reinforcement and location recordings. He is also an avid photographer and produces his own music.
